In its hunt for the dance stars of the future, Northern Ballet is hosting its annual series of open days in York, Sheffield, Huddersfield and Leeds between 30 January and 20 February.

The open days offer young dance enthusiasts, between the ages of 10 and 15, the chance to meet Northern Ballet Academy staff, find out more about our training programmes and technique and take part in a ballet or creative dance class.

Hannah Kirkpatrick, Academy Manager at Northern Ballet said: “This is a super opportunity for young people who like to dance to give it a try in a fun and relaxed atmosphere and get an insight into the training opportunities on offer right here on their doorstep. No previous experience is necessary – just a love of dance!”

Open days take place on the following dates:

  • 30 Jan, York, St Johns University, 9.30am-12.30pm, ages 10-12
  • 6 Feb, Sheffield, Spring Academy, 9.30am-12.30pm, ages 10-12
  • 13 Feb, Huddersfield, Lawrence Batley Theatre, 9.30am-12.30pm, ages 10-12
