MasterChef finalist Sara Danesin Medio is showcasing her mouth-watering cookery skills at a series of luxury dinner club events and demonstrations at Northern Ballet’s award winning home in Leeds.
Sara shot to the final of 2011’s MasterChef with her Italian inspired cookery. Her food wowed MasterChef judges, prompting John Torode to say he had never seen a final like it.
Originally from Italy, Sara creates modern, stylish Italian cuisine, using simple fresh and locally sourced ingredients. She says: ‘When John and Gregg told the three finalists “Go out and make the most of your talent”, I took their advice seriously. The result of all the blood, sweat and tears that came from MasterChef made me understand the secret of taking food from an ordinary to an extraordinary dimension.’
Sara’s first dinner club in Leeds takes place on Friday 8 February and guests will be served a special set menu including amuse-bouche, starter, main course and a pudding. The meal will take place on the top floor of the stunning Northern Ballet building, which boasts breathtaking views of the city. The room seats just 22 people creating an intimate dining experience.
For those budding chefs who want to have a go themselves at creating some of Sara’s dishes, she will be giving a cookery demonstration, also at Northern Ballet, on Monday 13 May. In this session Sara will demonstrate some fantastic egg pasta recipes.
Northern Ballet provides a stylish and comfortable environment for formal dinners, cocktail parties, conferences, events and performances. The venue offers seven dance studios including the 230-seat Stanley & Audrey Burton Theatre, meeting rooms and board suite, in-house catering services, experienced events and creative teams, free Wi-Fi and induction loop.
