We are delighted to announce details of our large-scale tour plans for 2019 in full, including additional venues for Dracula and Cinderella bringing us to the eve of our 50th anniversary celebrations in 2020.

We will commence our spring season with the world première of Cathy Marston’s Victoria, telling the astounding life story of Queen Victoria through the eyes of her youngest child and lifelong companion Beatrice. Victoria premières in Leeds in March 2019 and is followed by a national tour visiting Sheffield, London, Leicester, Edinburgh, Milton Keynes, Cardiff and Belfast until June 2019.

In April 2019 we will make our debut at Newcastle's Northern Stage with a Mixed Programme featuring The Shape of Sound by Kenneth Tindall; The Kingdom of Back by Morgann Runacre-Temple; and Mamela… by Mlindi Kulashe. This is a dazzling and emotive programme of new dance by three of the UK’s most exciting young choreographers. We will also perform a new Mixed Programme in Leeds in September 2019 followed by additional dates in London. Details are to be announced.

David Nixon OBE's blockbuster ballet The Great Gatsby returns to the stage with performances in Salford and Southampton in May 2019. Telling the story of mysterious millionaire Jay Gatsby whose penchant for lavish parties and beautiful women masks the loneliness, obsession and tragedy that lies beneath his sparkling façade.

Returning for the first time since its world première tour, David Nixon OBE's Cinderella sees a glorious summer's day end in tragedy and reduce Cinderella to a desolate new life of servitude before a chance encounter in a marketplace changes her destiny. Cinderella opens in Woking in September 2019 followed by a national tour to Sheffield, Hull, Newcastle, Nottingham, Norwich and Leeds until January 2020.

A creature who should inspire repulsion in every living thing but who has seduced countless generations, Bram Stoker’s legendary vampire lives on in David Nixon OBE's Dracula. An extraordinary ballet with a dramatic bite Dracula will open in Canterbury in 2019 with further performances in Leeds until November 2019.
