Dance, music and comedy at Leeds’ newest venue
An exciting new season of exciting performances gets underway at the Stanley & Audrey Burton Theatre at Northern Ballet in Leeds this Autumn.
As ever dance and music feature, with performances by Northern Ballet, Phoenix Dance Theatre and ensemble concerts from Northern Ballet Sinfonia.
This season we’ve added a brand new programme of comedy including new and familiar faces. Neil Mullarkey as L Vaughn Spencer offers motivational speaking in ‘Don’t Be Needy, Be Suceedy’; The Everly Pregnant Brothers perform their unique mix of comedy and ukulele music; and we host a monthly comedy evening presented by The Last Laugh.
The Stanley & Audrey Burton Theatre seats up to 230 people and is right in the heart of the city’s cultural quarter. It offers a unique environment to see performances from up-and-coming and established artists and provides a space for experimental, smaller-scale work from larger companies and groups.
The theatre also offers the opportunity to get closer to the work of both Northern Ballet and Phoenix Dance Theatre in more intimate surroundings than the large venues to which both companies usually tour.
Information about performances and details on how to book can be found at www.northernballet.com/boxoffice or by phoning 0113 220 8008.
