It's 450 years since the birth of William Shakespeare, and his works are far from being dead as a doornail (Henry VI Part II). In fact his words will live on forever and a day (As You Like It).
In our repertoire we have three productions based on the plays of Shakespeare - Hamlet, A Midsummer Night's Dream and Romeo & Juliet.
Last night the company were treated to a banquet in a restaurant near to our hotel hosted by Cui Yang (Young), our Promoter.
We presented Young with a framed photograph from A Midsummer Night's Dream as a memento of our 2014 tour.

Daytime off tomorrow to recover and then show call and get out. Sunday we travel to Beijing.
Last night after a busy day of shopping, sightseeing and visits to a spa, many of the dancers dined in the Japanese restaurant in the hotel although, according to Hiro, it wasn't really Japanese food!
Today is our first performance in China for this tour.
Not so much drama on the high seas than dancing on the high seas. Northern Ballet will tour A Midsummer Night’s Dream to China in January 2014 and the production was due to return to the UK in time for performances in Edinburgh in March. Due to a lack of available ships however the set and costumes won’t now make it back to the UK in time for the Company’s scheduled performances at Edinburgh Festival Theatre.
We has a great deal in store for you in our 45th anniversary year, 2014...
In January we have the last five performances of Cinderella at Leeds Grand Theatre before it tours in the spring and autumn.
