Northern Ballet’s A Christmas Carol and The Three Musketeers are to be staged by Royal New Zealand Ballet and Alberta Ballet on opposite sides of the globe this autumn.
Anthony Meredith
Anthony, who worked as music advisor on The Three Musketeers and The Great Gatsby, has written biographies on both Malcolm Arnold and Richard Rodney Bennett.  He has wide interests in addition to music and dance. His most recent books have included a selection of Richard Rodney Bennett’s piano works (in the Composer Portraits series); the history of Lord’s Cricket Ground; and a motor racing extravaganza, Silverstone’s First Grand Prix, 1948.
This resource pack aims to give teachers a rich, stimulating set of materials to teach dance and other related subjects at Keystage 3 (with adaptations for Keystage 2). You can use this pack to build your own lesson plans and schemes of work with information and creative ideas drawn from Northern Ballet's production of The Three Musketeers. As well as dance performance, composition and appreciation, the pack signposts subject material for Design, Music, English, Drama, History and PSHE.

Charles has worked in the UK and internationally designing opera, ballet, drama, musicals and pantomime. His previous work for Northern Ballet includes set design for The Three Musketeers. He is resident designer with Library Theatre, Manchester. Charles has worked on many productions for Leicester Haymarket Theatre, most notably The Plough and The Stars.
John Longstaff
Born: Lancashire. Education: Girton College, Cambridge; Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Companies/Organisations: Kiel Opera House, Germany (conductor and rehearsal pianist); Northern Ballet Theatre (conductor and rehearsal pianist); Sheffield Symphony Orchestra (artistic director); Leeds College of Music (opera conductor), English National Ballet (guest conductor The Nutcracker and Giselle).
David has designed lighting for Theatre, Dance, Opera, Television, Architectural Projects, and Industrials taking him from the Great Wall of China to the Great Stage of Radio City Music Hall. He was nominated for a Chicago Midwest Emmy Award for Milwaukee ballets Romeo and Juliet, a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lighting Design for the Opening Ceremonies of the Pan American Games Rio 2007 and received a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lighting Direction for the Opening Ceremony Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Winter Games.
