Thomas is from Toulouse, France and joined Northern Ballet in 2007. He trained at the Centre des Arts et de la Danse and Terpsi Danse (Toulouse). He has previously performed with English National Ballet, Bordeaux Opera Ballet and with Ballet David Campos, Spain.

Where were you born and raised?

I was born and raised in Toulouse, France. My mother is Pied-Noir French and my father Spanish.

Centre Des Arts et De La Danse, Toulouse

When did you join Northern Ballet?

2007

What made you want to be a dancer?

I was 11 and I had already been dancing for almost 2 years, I saw Giselle performed by Ballet du Capitole (Toulouse) with my teacher’s husband dancing the male leading role.

What would be your dream role to dance and why?

Mercutio in Romeo & Juliet. I always enjoyed watching the role and it will be a lot of fun!

If you could adapt one work into a ballet what would it be?

My family story.

Who are your artistic influences or heroes?

My two ballet teachers, my parents and the rest of my family.

Describe your perfect Sunday morning

No alarm clock and a family Skype session.

What was the first album you bought and what was the last album you bought?

First was Michael Jackson Dangerous. The last was the Kool and the Gang Anthology.

What would be your luxury item on a desert island?

A picture of my parents, my sister and me (including the 2 dogs).

What are you favourite places in Yorkshire?

Leeds Hyde Park, Harrogate Turkish Baths and any peaceful Yorkshire Countryside.
