Where is the building?

We are located at the heart of Leeds' burgeoning cultural quarter, Quarry Hill. We are adjacent to the BBC, Leeds College of Music and just behind the West Yorkshire Playhouse.

Click for a map and directions here by road, rail and air.

When is the building open?

The building is generally open from 08.30 – 20.30 Monday to Friday, 08.00 – 18.00 on Saturday and is closed on Sunday.

However, because of the variety of events we have in the building, these times can be flexible and it is always best to check in advance at what times the building will be open on a particular day.

You can contact the Reception team on 0113 220 8000.

Can I look around your building

Northern Ballet is a public building and our foyer and café are open to the public. The studios and offices are not generally open to the public, however we do organise Open Days so people can come and see all aspects of the building’s operation.

Our first Open Day in January was attended by 2,200 people, the next one is planned for February. Keep an eye on the website for dates and booking procedures.

Is the building available for hire?

Yes. We offer an array of conference and events facilities. We have second-to-none spaces – including the largest dance studio in Europe – on-site catering and technical support. We can also incorporate some of our practice, such as dance classes or technical support from our touring technicians.
