Continuing professional development

Everyday is a school day, and learning new skills and updating old ones is important for teachers to keep fresh and ahead of the pupils! And for pupils to truly benefit from dance activity, regular participation is needed.

Northern Ballet can help by giving teachers the confidence and skills to deliver movement activity on their own through teacher training programmes that are specifically tailored to your school or cluster’s needs.  The programme will inspire teachers to develop dance within an educational setting and will focus on how to use dance to teach the National Curriculum, creating performance pieces and using dance to promote healthy activity.

All training packages are supported by written resources including lesson plans.
