International Summer School - blog 1
The International Summer School got off to a great start yesterday as over 100 eager faces arrived.
Students have come from all across the country as well as further afield - we have students from Canada, Geneva, the US, Brazil, Czech Repuplic, Japan and Finland.
The day started off with a placement class to make sure that everyone was in the right group for their age and experience. Students then had classes in jazz, ballet & pointe work and mens work.
Their busy schedule continues with the added extra of contemporary class as well.
Our fantastic teachers this week are Viki Westall, Cara O’Shea, Nathalie Leger, Eric Carpenter and Douglas Thorpe.
Tuesday saw the arrival of our new level 1 CAT students (Centre for Advanced Training). These students auditioned for us in April and will be joining our intensive pre-professional training course. This week will be their first week with us so I am sure we will have lots of tired students by Saturday!
It feels great having so many people back in the building after a very quiet 3 weeks.
I will keep you updated on how the Summer School is getting on so watch this space.
