

Miki is from Fukuoka in Japan and joined Northern Ballet in 2014. She trained at Kazuko Sugihara Ballet School Art in Japan and Académie Princesse Grace in Monte Carlo. Whilst at school she danced Walts Girl from George Balanchine's Serenade, Dov'e la luna (Jean-Christophe Maillot) and Romeo & Juliet (Jean-Christophe Maillot). In 2010 she won the Gold medal at the YAGP Japan finals.
I was born and raised in Fukuoka, Japan.
I started dancing at a local dance school in Japan when I was six years old.
I trained at Kazuko Sugihara Ballet School Art in Japan and then from 2010 – 2014 I trained at Académie Princesse Grace in Monte Carlo.

I think that being a dancer is not just a job; it is a way of life. For me, it is the best way to express myself and I feel happy when I’m dancing.
I don’t read very often but I like Japanese books which always inspires me.
Japanese food! I like sushi, etc, it always makes me relaxed and reminds me of home.
I like listening to beautiful classical music like Chopin and Tchaikovsky.
I can’t think of anything else but I think I would still want to be an artist.
