Dance for Parkinson's
Get creative, feel energised, meet new people —
all whilst having fun!
Living with Parkinson’s and want to improve your balance, flexibility and strength? Northern Ballet’s Dance for Parkinson's classes in Garforth provide an exciting opportunity to work with our expert teachers, accompanied by live music.
Each week we’ll cover basic technique to improve your posture, core strength and coordination. You’ll then have the chance to learn steps from some of our best-known productions like The Nutcracker and Romeo & Juliet. You can even have a go at creating your own moves!
No previous dance experience is required, but we ask that you bring a partner, friend or carer to support you and join the fun. After dancing together, we’ll have a cuppa and a biscuit at the end of each session.
‘On the day of the taster session it was not without a little trepidation that my wife and I went along . . . not really knowing what to expect and fearing being a little out of our comfort zone. We needn’t have worried as the Northern Ballet team were very friendly and made us feel comfortable . . . The taster session flew by and was very useful both physically and cognitively, whilst also being a lot of fun!’
