As a professional ballet company with a wealth of experience in training and nurturing dancers, we are perfectly placed to set aspiring young dancers on pathways to achieving rewarding careers in dance.

Professional Training for Under 16s

Centre for Advanced Training

We are the only Centre for Advanced Training (CAT) in classical ballet in the UK, equipping students aged 10-16 with skills to progress onto professional vocational dance training.

Associate Division

The Associate programme enhances the training of many excellent dance schools in the north, offering weekly classes in facilities used by Northern Ballet's professional dancers.

Junior Foundation Associates feeds into Junior Associates, from there people can go into CAT (full-time equivalent vocational training) or Further Associates (once a week enhancement training)

Professional Graduate Programme

Our Professional Graduate Programme is a one year traineeship designed to bridge the gap between full-time training and professional performance.
