Outreach workshops for schools in Yorkshire
We are passionate about introducing young people to ballet and offering pathways into high quality dance training. The Academy of Northern Ballet deliver free ballet workshops for Key Stage 2 pupils, designed to engage and inspire pupils to try ballet for the first time. The free workshop provides a taste of ballet alongside or instead of that week’s PE session.
Pupils will enjoy:
- A fun 45 minutes to an hour class, introducing the basics of ballet for academic years 3 to 5
- Hearing about the life of professional dancers
- Live music (depending on availability)
Your students may be talent spotted and invited to take part in our Spotted! Programme at Northern Ballet or offered an additional workshop or classes depending on your location.
