International Summer Intensive 2020
For students 12 – 16 years
27 July – 1 August 2020
Our Intermediate Summer Intensive gives students an opportunity to train intensively in the Academy’s unique training methods with Northern Ballet’s renowned full-time teaching staff and Guest Teachers.
Following a syllabus set by Northern Ballet’s Ballet Mistress and former Prima Ballerina Yoko Ichino, students are shown the fundamentals of our technique through daily ballet class; contemporary classes / jazz classes; pointe work / mens classes.
Sharing the same world-class facilities as Northern Ballet’s Company Dancers students also observe the dancers in Company rehearsals and enhance their own knowledge and performance skills through enhancement sessions in anatomy and Pilates.
"I loved every minute of Northern Ballet’s Summer Schools! The teachers were world-class and I learnt so much in just one week by training intensively. The atmosphere was always really fun and it was a great opportunity to meet other young dancers who shared the same passion as me. "
Charlotte Tonkinson, former Centre for Advanced Training (CAT) Graduate with
the Academy of Northern Ballet, now Dancer with the Royal Ballet.
