Are you ready for an exciting Christmas themed pop-up this year?
This masterclass will leave you feeling festive with an opportunity to learn choreography inspired by our Company production of The Nutcracker and refine your technique with our world-class teachers.
The pop-up is suitable for dancers aged between 9 and 14 with at least two years of ballet experience who regularly attend ballet classes.
Ages 9-11 — 10.15am – 1pm
Ages 12-14 — 1.30pm- 4.30pm
The pop-up will consist of a warm up, technique class and repertoire from The Nutcracker. Guardians will be invited in for a demonstration for the final part of the workshop to see what the students have been working on. Places are limited so book your place now and don't miss out!

Join us for a masterclass in ballet technique during our festive Nutcracker Christmas season!
For adult dancers of all abilities this masterclass combines a full classical ballet class with our experienced teaching faculty alongside the opportunity to take part in a repertoire workshop inspired by Northern Ballet’s The Nutcracker.
Our open level workshop is suitable for all adult dancers. We would advise dancers should have some previous ballet experience as a minimum; basic understanding of the ballet vocabulary and steps if applying.
The pop-up will consist of a warm up, technique class and repertoire workshop from The Nutcracker. Places are limited so do not miss out and book your place now!

Born in West Yorkshire, Jane undertook her early training with the Northern Dance Centre, completing at Central School of Ballet and Northern Ballet School, where she performed and toured with Manchester City Ballet.
Jane began her professional career with Hong Kong Ballet in 1994, touring extensively throughout Asia, North America and Canada. She returned to her Yorkshire roots, joining Northern Ballet Theatre in 1999 and enjoying three more years touring, this time around the UK and China. Throughout her dancing career, Jane has performed in most of the classics and premiered many new works including The Last Emperor, A Streetcar Named Desire and Madame Butterfly to name but a few.
Jane gained Distinction for the Professional Dancers Teaching Diploma at the RAD, London in 2002 and has accumulated extensive teaching experience to date. After graduating from the RAD, Jane toured Australia undertaking workshops and classes in companies and vocational colleges. Since her return, she has guest taught for various schools and colleges over the years including Northern School of Contemporary Dance, Elmhurst, SLP College and Phil Winston’s Theatreworks.
Jane has been part of the Academy of Northern Ballet's teaching faculty since 2003 and is the external examiner for the Royal Academy of Dance’s Professional Dancers Teaching Diploma.
