Bruno is from Barcelona, Spain and started dancing at Escola de Dansa Marisa Yudes in Barcelona at the age of eight. He continued his training at Académie Princesse Grace in Monte Carlo from 2015 until 2020 when he joined Northern Ballet.

Where were you born and raised?

I was born and raised in Barcelona, Spain.

At what age did you start dancing?

I started dancing when I was eight years old.

Where did you train?

I started training at Escola de Dansa Marisa Yudes in Barcelona and then got accepted at Académie Princesse Grace in Monte Carlo when I was 13, so I did my last five years of training there.

Which Northern Ballet role would you most like to dance?

I would love to dance Romeo or Dracula.

Career/training highlights

My career has just begun but I have great memories from performing the masterpiece Vers un pays sage by Jean-Christophe Maillot.

What do you like most about being a dancer?

Definitely performing on stage, but I also enjoy the everyday life of training where I can learn many things from my teachers and also from the other dancers.

If you could adapt one work into a ballet what would it be?

Homer’s Odyssey.

What is your favourite book?

Any of Rick Riordan’s books, I’ve read them all!

How do you like to relax?

I love listening to my favourite artists when I’m at home, going for a walk in nature to get fresh air or hanging out with my friends.

If you weren’t a dancer what would you be?

Honestly, I’ve never thought about it but I’m sure I will discover new passions as I get older.
