Pippa Moore

Pippa trained at the Hammond School of Dance, Chester and the Royal Ballet School. Originally from Liverpool, she has danced with Scottish Ballet, Wiener Ballet Theatre and The Royal Ballet and joined Northern Ballet in 1996. Pippa retired from performing in 2019.

Age 9.

Lucy (Dracula), Young Cathy (Wuthering Heights), Helena (A Midsummer Night's Dream), Juliet (Romeo & Juliet), Wendy (Peter Pan), Butterfly (Madame Butterfly), Clara (The Nutcracker), Madame De Tourvel (Dangerous Liaisons) and the Stepmother (Cinderella).

What do you like most about being a dancer?

Portraying different characters on stage and having so many worlds I can just step into.

If you could adapt one work into a ballet what would it be?

The Alchemist, a novel by Paulo Coelho.

What is your favourite book?

To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee.

What is your favourite post-show meal?

Ratatouille with tofu.

How do you like to relax?

Reading and long country walks.

If you weren't a dancer what would you be?

I would be running an Animal Rescue Centre.
