ResTec 2023

Phoenix Dance Theatre’s Learning & Development department aims to empower, engage and inspire through high-quality dance provision, focusing on three key strands: training dancers of the future, children and young people and the hard to reach.

Over the last 12 years our Learning & Development department has collaborated with national organisations as far as London, and internationally as far as South Africa, on the ResTec (Respect. Protect.) project, raising awareness of HIV and AIDS through dance.

The ResTec Dance Platform takes place annually in the Stanley and Audrey Burton Theatre in recognition of World AIDS Day, to raise awareness through dance.

This year we are pleased to host performances from visiting London groups, local schools and colleges and from some of our national Youth Academy groups.
