Academy Student Support Team Member (Casual)

We are now looking to recruit Student Support team members to work in our Academy on a casual basis.  The aim of our student support team is to aid the smooth running of the Academy, chaperoning students to and from studios, observing classes and acting as the link between office staff, our reception team and students/parents.  You will be a confident communicator, liaising with both parents and students, comfortable working in a busy environment and thrive on using your initiative to adapt to varied situations with a range of young people and adults.  You will be passionate about providing excellent support and will take a professional and flexible approach to your work.

Casual Position

Core hours: Monday – Friday appx 16:00-20:30, Saturday appx. 9.00 – 18:30, Sunday appx. 9:30-12:30 

Additional hours available during intensive training periods throughout the Academic year. Additional hours to be allocated by the Open Programme Manager. 

Salary: In line with National Minimum Wage

ICT Work Experience

We now have a unique and exciting opportunity to join our IT Department for a week of work experience commencing Monday 24 October (half term week). Guided by our IT Director, you will have the chance to gain an insight into the workings of a busy IT Department. You will have opportunity to develop a greater understanding of:

  • Installing software
  • Servicing hardware
  • Networking experience
  • Photo editing
  • Data entry
  • Telephone configuration
  • iPhone configuration
  • And more!

The ideal candidate will be studying ICT at GCSE or A-Level, or have a real passion for the subject.
