Victoria launch at Harewood House

On 24 May we made our own royal announcement for the world première of Victoria, a ballet by Cathy Marston for spring 2019. This regal new ballet will coincide with the 200th anniversary of the birth of one of Britain’s most iconic monarchs.

Ahead of this announcement we took Abigail Prudames and Joseph Taylor, creators of the roles of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, for a suitably lavish photo shoot at Harewood House in Leeds, one of the major filming locations for ITV's 'Victoria'.

At the shoot, Abigail wore the Young Victoria Tiara, kindly loaned by Swarovski. The tiara is an exact replica of the one worn by Queen Victoria, who was Swarovski’s first customer via couturier George Frederick Worth, who embroidered her gowns with Swarovski Crystals.
