Marcus was born in Harrogate and started dancing at age eight. He trained at Katrina Hughes dance school before joining The Royal Ballet Junior Associate Program in Leeds.
He then became a full-time student at The Royal Ballet School, graduating as a part of the centenary class in 2026. The highlights of his training include performing in Sir Frederick Ashton's La Valse, and most recently in Sir Kenneth Macmillan's Mayerling and Sir Peter Wright's Giselle alongside The Royal Ballet.
