We were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Andria Hall, whose contributions were integral to our Company’s growth as we entered the new millennium.
Originally from Grimsby, Andria joined the English National Ballet in 1974 and quickly rose to the position of Principal Dancer in 1978. She later collaborated closely with Northern Ballet and Massimo Moricone on Romeo & Juliet. In the years that followed, she continued to share her expertise as a guest ballet mistress. Andria also played a key role in supporting David Nixon CBE during his transition to Artistic Director of Northern Ballet in 2002.
She is remembered for the elegance, warmth and humour she brought to the room. Our thoughts and condolences are with her family, friends and colleagues at this time.
