Former Northern Ballet Artistic Director David Nixon has received a CBE for services to dance, in Her Majesty the Queen’s Birthday Honours list 2022.

On Saturday we performed David Nixon OBE's Dangerous Liaisons, the final time we will perform one of his ballets whilst he is Artistic Director.

Today we announce that, after 20 hugely successful years at the helm, David Nixon OBE has decided to step down from his role as Artistic Director in December 2021.

We are delighted to announce that next month we will be returning to the stage for our first live performances since the initiation of lockdown in March.
