Marketing Manager

Northern Ballet is looking for a Marketing Manager to join its busy and expanding Communications team.

2017 sees an unprecedented three World Premières – Casanova, The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas and The Little Mermaid. Additionally we’re looking to expand our programme of work for digital platforms, exploring new ways and places that people can enjoy ballet.

As well as managing and delivering campaigns for our live work, this role will take the lead in developing audiences for our new programme of digital work. You will also help us to grow and nurture our database and develop loyalty. You should have at least five years’ experience of marketing campaigns, utilising a range of traditional and digital techniques, and a genuine interest in growing audiences and raising the profile of this remarkable company.

Interviews: weeks commencing 6 and 13 February
Contract: Permanent, 35 hours per week
Holidays: 5 weeks per year plus bank holidays
Salary: £25,000 – £27,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Design and Digital Officer

Northern Ballet is looking for a Design and Digital Officer to join its busy and expanding Communications team.

Northern Ballet is looking for a highly skilled individual who can utilise a range of design and digital skills to produce a large variety of different marketing materials and digital content. This is a fantastic opportunity to flex your creativity within an innovative department.

If you are passionate about creating content and have a relevant qualification or 12 months experience in the work place, we would love to hear from you.

Partnership Director

Leeds Dance Partnership has a vision for Leeds to become an international centre for dance – a dancing city that will provide leadership in the North for the development of the art form locally, nationally and internationally. A number of organisations and independent artists from across the region will come together to make this vision a reality, including, amongst others, Northern Ballet, Yorkshire Dance, Phoenix Dance Theatre, Balbir Singh Dance Company, Gary Clarke Company, Leeds Beckett University, ProDanceLeeds, DAZL, RJC Dance, Northern School of Contemporary Dance, Leeds City College and West Yorkshire Playhouse.

Following a recent grant award from the Arts Council Ambition for Excellence fund, supporting the development of the partnership, we are now looking to recruit a Partnership Director who will provide strategic leadership and undertake the day-to-day management and delivery of the Leeds Dance Partnership. The post is offered on an initial fixed-term contract for 9 months but is expected to last for at least 3 years.  The post holder will be employed by Northern Ballet and report to the Partnership Board.

Highly experienced in initiating, developing and managing partnerships, you will have a strong track record in advocacy and stakeholder management.  With experience of working in the performing arts and knowledge about dance, you will have well established professional relationships and networks.

Full-time position.

Initial nine month fixed-term contract, but could be extended.  We will be happy to look at this as a secondment opportunity for the initial nine month period.

Salary £45,000 (pro-rata to the length of the contract).

Assistant Caretaker

Northern Ballet is now looking to recruit an Assistant Caretaker who will work as part of a team to ensure the care and upkeep of our building.  We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated individual who has a good knowledge of Health & Safety regulations, Care of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH), fire regulations, risk assessment and basic DIY skills.

Interviews: Thursday 26 January 2017

Hours of work: 30 hour week, which may include early mornings, evenings and weekends

Hours are subject to change and the needs of the business, rotas for these hours will be issued two weeks in advance by the Operations Manager.

Basic work pattern, 5 days over 7 will include Sundays
Mon – Fri 16:00 – 21:00, Sun 08:00 – 16:00

Overtime may be required, standard rate of pay up to 48 hours per week
Salary: £12,240

This role may be subject to a basic DBS check.
