Kenneth MacMillan: a National Celebration

This autumn, we are thrilled to be performing at The Royal Opera House as part of a major event celebrating Sir Kenneth MacMillan

Kenneth MacMillan: a National Celebration will bring together Northern Ballet, Scottish Ballet, The Royal Ballet, English National Ballet and Birmingham Royal Ballet in a tribute to the choreographic master.

Taking to the main stage at The Royal Opera House for the first time, we will perform Gloria on Thursday 26 and Friday 27 October. Gloria was inspired by Vera Brittain's autobiography Testament of Youth which recounts the author's wartime experiences and grief at the loss of her fiancé and brother.

With six performances spanning the two week period and featuring the country’s top ballet talent, this is guaranteed to be one of the must-see dance events of the year. We will also be dancing in Elite Syncopations and on 18 and 19 October audiences will be in for an extra treat as members of all five ballet companies will appear together in this ballet.
