Our spring 2025 tour came to a close with six incredible performances of Romeo & Juliet to packed houses at Leeds Playhouse back in June, ending our wonderfully varied season which featured Jane Eyre, all new children’s ballet Hansel & Gretel, a fountain of creativity in Sketches and Sing, Dance, Leap as part of Bradford 2025.
Looking ahead to our autumn season you will spot some changes to the dancer ranks. The Artistic team at Northern Ballet, led by Federico Bonelli, have worked with the dancers to develop six ranks which better reflect our performing company and the wonderful artists we work with.
Many dancers at Northern Ballet are given a range of opportunities, regardless of their rank, from performing leading roles to choreographing for the company, as well as performing as Dancers. It’s part of what makes Northern Ballet so unique and agile in the way we perform, and helps nurture the technical and dramatic talents of the dancers.
See the new ranks on the Dancers page and also join us in welcoming Australian Ballet School Graduate, Eliza Hickey, to the company as an Apprentice. Dancer George Liang has also been promoted to Coryphée.
We look forward to welcoming you to Merlin, Little Red Riding Hood and The Nutcracker later this year.
