World Ballet Day LIVE

On Thursday 5 October 2017 you can watch a day of ballet live from across the globe.

From Austraila to Russia, the UK, Canada and the USA - some of the greatest companies on Earth will open their doors for 22 hours of behind-the-scenes access to the world of ballet.

We'll be taking part in the UK section of the day - sharing parts of our The Little Mermaid costume rehearsals from our home in Leeds.

We'll also be streaming the dress rehearsal of A celebration of Sir Kenneth MacMillan, Master Choreographer LIVE from the Alhambra Theatre in Bradford, including exclusive interviews with our Artistic Director David Nixon OBE with dancers Javier Torres and Antoinette Brooks-Daw hosted by Premier Dancer Pippa Moore. Come to our Facebook page at 3.45pm (BST) to tune in.

It's going to be a packed day, starting at 2.00am (BST) through to midnight at some of the world's greatest companies:

The Australian Ballet

Bolshoi Ballet from Russia

The Royal Ballet from the UK

The National Ballet of Canada

San Francisco Ballet from the USA

The UK section of the day will be led by The Royal Ballet from 12pm - 5pm - so make sure you join us to take part in World Ballet Day 2017!
